storytime
The Lincoln County Public Library hosts an array of Storytimes that introduce children to the joy of reading, with rhymes, music and activities that are fun for everyone.  Library Staff create each Storytime using the five literacy skills set by Every Child Ready to Read, (ReadingWritingSingingPlaying, and Talking) as the foundation with the goal to prepare children for school success. dolly Opens in new windowThe Dolly Parton Imagination Library has pulled into North Carolina and with it the opportunity for families to develop a love of reading.  Participants in this program will receive a free children's book in the mail each month until they are 5 years old.
