HeritageQuest African American Heritage is a unique collection that is designed specifically for African American family research.  Researchers can find records from the census, marriage and cohabitation, military, and slave registers.

North Carolina Digital Heritage Center Yearbook collection has early student yearbooks from Lincolnton High School and Union High School available online. There are 55 volumes online, ranging in date from 1923 to 1962.

NewspapersLincoln County Public Library has collected local newspapers from across the county.  These newspapers are accessible either in print format or on microfilm.  The microfilm copies are located at the Charles R. Jonas library.
